News: IT Dashboard; Request: re-link python on Debian-10; Request: FS-SC to have r-access to GPFS; New versions of hasyutils, pyspectra, tnggui

• IT dashboard (P06): Stefan Dietrich, IT, sent us the link to the dashboard and the following information:

  It is only reachable from the DESY internal network.

  In the upper left corner, the facility and beamline can be selected.

  For a detailed explanation about the graphs, please check the documentation in the ASAP3 space on Confluence.

• Request: re-link 'python' to 'python3' on Debian-10: not so good
  • Currently on Debian-10 and Ubuntu20.04 python corresponds to python2.
  • Problem with package names: there are python-, python3, not python2.
  • Lot of packages would be broken, unless all python2 and python3 packages would be re-built, renaming calls to python,python2 and python3.

• Request: FS-SC members to have r-access or rw-acces to GPFS.

  Permission rights like 'participant': ro for raw, rwd for processed, shared and scratch, for all beamtimes, including commissioning, excluded are industry beamtimes (p-proposal). Status: Vetos from various beamline scientists. Need a mechanism to exclude certain beamlines. Discuss with IT.

• new versions of hasyutils, pyspectra, tnggui have been distributed
  • Fix for the scan_repeat bug of SardanaMonitor.py bug reported by P09

  • Fix for the 'SardananAIO.py -x -t user,expert' bug reported by P09

  • TngGui: Attributes widget smarter: non-responsive attributes are ignored

• User limits, user calibration (P06, P08): status ongoing

• Debian-10 upgrade
  • Debian-10 is ready, tests passed
  • Install Tango 9.3, tests passed
  • Install python3-sardana, done
  • python2/python3 compliance, done
  • so far 20 Debian-10 hosts installed
