Status DAMC-MOTCTRL

The first DAMC-MOTCTRL arrived at DESY-FS.

• The device has been installed in a MicroTCA crate

• ZMX+ connection board has been installed. Connected by fiber.

• A motor has been successfully moved, including changes of slew rate and acceleration. Oms Syntax.

• Next step: create a Python Tango server for the DAMC-MOTCTRL, avoiding the OmsVme58 flaws.
  • Steps will take the leading role.
  • Only step-attributes will be memorized
  • Unit-attributes will be derived from the step attributes
  • Single step moves will be possible
  • Unit limit attributes still exist for convenience but will be derived from steps.
  • etc.

  The Tango server will be used for testing and can serve as a template for the on-board server (planned by MSK).
