News: P09 incident; PCO P21; set_pos and closed loop motor, P08;

• P09, 2 PCs failed to reboot: the problem was caused by a faulty PXE boot image.

  To manage esp. headless PCs the following sequence is executed:

  • PCs boot from network, get PXE boot image
  • The Foremann/puppet configuration is checked, if a new system has to be installed.
  • If not, the PC boots from disk.

  A patched PXE boot image has been installed on Friday to fix issues with the old PXE image.

• PCO, P21: images show stripes also with the vendor supplied software. Camera and PCI work at P06. Assumption: PC is the problem. New PC has been ordered.

• set_pos and closed loop, P08: changes the limits, should throw an exception. To be done.
