News: Caenah501D; Multiple factor authentication; lup tests; Spam mails

• Caenah501D updated, YM: user can select units

• Multiple factor authentication

  From 5.9.2023 MFA will be activated for

  • ssh to bastion from outside. During a test period bastion-mfa will be available. On the 5.9.2023, bastion-mfa will replace bastion.

  • vpn (mainly used for DESY notebooks) during test phase: desy-2fc

  • Webmail: from inside and outside, no teste system

  • No MFA for max-fs-display.desy.de and max-display.desy.de so far, for regular and scientific accounts

  There will be 2 options for the 2nd factor: UB key (USB) and OTP app.

  FS-EC will take a look and make some tests, then encourage others to make tests.

• lup (dscan) tests (P09): so far the StopMacro button in pyspMonitor executed stopMacro. Esp. for dscans this may cause problems because it may take quite a long time for the Door to become ON.

  New feature: the pyspMonitor3.py generates an entry into the log widget when stopMacro is executed, waits for the Door to become ON and then generates another message.

  The same applies to TngGui3.py

  python3-pyspectra and python3-tnggui have been updated.
