Results from haspp08

Here are the results of some speed measurements carried out at haspp08. Relative scans using different devices are executed. The number of points is 41, the sample time 0.5s.

Conclusions:

• There is not much difference between using a real motor (phis) and a dummy motor (exp_dmy01): 80s vs. 74s.

• The read-out of a Mythen detector (mythint) adds 26s to the elapsed time: 53s vs. 27. This is basically due to the fact that the Mythen software creates files. The process has to wait for the files to be closed. Then the files have to be read.

• The counters mythroi1 and mythroi2 read the Mythen files and calculate the ROIs. Each of these counters add 6.5s.
