LC584

Invokes the menu for the LeCroy 584 digital sampling oscilloscope (DSO), which is is connected to the PC via the GPIB. The GPIB address is stored in the symbol ADR_LC584. This menu can be used for the LC960 as well.

The description of the menu items:

 Status
Can be idle or busy. The state is changed by PF1.

 Update Time
The timer interval between read-outs of the oscilloscope. The value can be selected from {1,2,3,4,5} seconds, the default is 1.

 Channel
Selects the channels that are to be displayed. The value can be choosen from { C1, C2, C3, C4, ALL, C1C2, C1C2C3}, the default is C1.

 NP
The number of points to be read. It can be choosen from {0, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096, 8192, 16384 }, the default is 1024.

 Sparse
The sparsing factor directs ONLINE to read every n$th$ point. The factor n can be choosen from { 1, 2, 4, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000}, the default is 1.

 Offset
Selects the first sample to be read. It can be choosen from { 0, 500, 1000, 2000, 5000, 10000}, the default is 0.

 Time base
The time interval that corresponds to 1 cm on the screen of the oscilloscope. The total screen is 10 cm. Notice that the oscilloscopes have a fixed sampling interval: 5.0E-10 (2 GS) for the LC584 and 6.25E-11 - 2.5E-10 (16 - 4 GS) depending on the number of active channels for the LC960. The sampling interval is displayed at the bottom line of the graphical output (SI).

Notice the relation between the sampling interval, the time base and the number of points: The oscilloscope does not send more points that fit into 10 times the time base.

{ 5$\times$10$^{-3}$, 1$\times$10$^{-3}$, 5$\times$10$^{-4}$, 1$\times$10$^{-4}$, 5$\times$10$^{-5}$, 1$\times$10$^{-5}$, 5$\times$10$^{-6}$, 1$\times$10$^{-6}$, 5$\times$10$^{-7}$, 1$\times$10$^{-7}$, 5$\times$10$^{-8}$, 1$\times$10$^{-8}$, 5$\times$10$^{-9}$, 1$\times$10$^{-9}$ }, the default is 5$\times$10$^{-7}$.

 Trigger channel
The channel that is used for triggering, the default is C2.

 Trigger level
Can be choosen from { -2V, -1V, -0.5V, -0.05V, 0.05V, 0.5V, 1V, 2V}, the default is 0.5V.

 Trigger mode
Can be selected from { AUTO, NORM, SINGLE, STOP }, the default is NORM.

 VDIV
Vertical division of the channels, the values can be choosen from { 10 mV, 50 mV, 100 mV, 200 mV, 500 mV 1V, 2V, 5V, 10V }, the defaults are 200 mV, 1V, 1V, 200 mV.

 Generic name
The file name is constructed by appending a scan number to a generic part. The default generic name is SCAN_LC584. It can be set by hand only.

 Comment
A string that is copied to the output file.

 Keypad keys
The meaning of the keys is described below. Their names can also be entered as a SPECTRA command (KP, is KP_COMMA and ENTER is KP_ENTER).

PF1 Starts/stops the measurement
PF2 Single shot
PF3 PF3 stores the date to a disk file
PF4 Exit
Ctrl-W Refreshes the alpha screen.
KP0 Display
KP1 Zoom

Note that there is the function waveform() which also reads the LeCroy 584 oscilloscope.
