ONLINE offers several kinds of scans. They are described in the previous chapters. Here is just a list.

 Alignment scans, see chapter 7:

 move/ad*just motor_name
The intensity is monitored while a motor is driven forth and back, see section 7.1.
 scan/cen*ter/m1=mot1...
The intensity is maximized by iteratively scanning up to 4 motors, see section 7.7.
 scan/ref*lection
The intensity is maximized by iteratively scanning the diffractometer angles, see section 7.8.
