If ONLINE wasn't running while the CAMAC crate has been switched off, there is no problem. Switch the crate on and start ONLINE. The controller registers contain zeros instead of the correct values that correspond to the current motor positions. exp_ini.exp automatically loads the device list and tests whether there are differences between the controller registers and the internal values (Function check_motor_registers(), alias cmr()).
If ONLINE finds deviations, it displays them and asks the user whether they should be fixed. The answer is “Y”. The next question is “Do you trust the controller?”. It is answered with “N”.
