Move/slit

The command

ONLINE> move/slit=slit_name

invokes the menu which is displayed below (table 7.4). Slit_name is the generic slit name. Suppose it has been choosen to be S1. In this case ONLINE expects that the following symbols point to motor names: s1_top, s1_bottom, s1_right, s1_left.

The motor positions are displayed and also the position of the center and the opening, e.g.: cx is the x-position of the center of the slit.

The coordinate frame is defined as follows: The z-axis points in the direction of the photons, the y-axis upwards and the x-direction is left, if one looks from the source.

Note that there is a function slit() (section 13.16.4) that moves a slit and it is also possible to scan slit parameters: scan/slit (section 8.1.9).
