News: Atlassian tools; ICS issue; Lambda server, PySpectra docu

• Status and future of Atlassian tools:
  • negotiations to continue the status quo failed
  • Helmholtz strives for a common solution
  • Helmholtz working group has been established
  • DESY: CCB keeps track of the issue, prepares the decision of the directorate:
  • the plan:

      - Replace Bitbucket/Bamboo by gitlab.desy.de
      - Replace Jira, Software issue tracker by gitlab.desy.de
      - Replace Jira, project mgt by IPP solution (already working on Petra-4 application)
      - Replace Jira, resource mgt. by Atlassian Cloud service, groups manage users and pay
      - Replace Confluence by XWiki
    

  • Conclusion: most of the services can be replaced by other tools, the Jira resource mgt. has to be covered by Atlassian Cloud

  FS supports the plan on these conditions: the migration has ti be supported and the functionality has to be assured. Some colleagues volunteered to evaluate things.

• ICS issue, Friday 16.9.2022: ICS slow or not operational at various beamlines, reason: Oracle did not reply to one out of 3 queries. IT is in contact with Oracle to understand the issue and find a fix.

• Lambda Tango server, (LambdaCtrl-v2.9)
  • added attribute SaveFlatField to disable flatfield saving in Nexus data file. if this attribute is set false, flatfield is not saved in Nexus data file.

  • added properties to change ASAP::O ingest mode and type of stream with these options, tango server could be configured to send either image data or only saved file names to ASAP::O.

  • fixed attribute typo (ThresholdNo)

  • Status: rolled-out today
