I assume that there the hardware does not cause the problem.
It may happen that program parameters remain invalid although the
program has been restarted. This may be due to the fact that
ONLINE keeps track of certain GQEs between sessions.
Two files are involved. One is
online_dir
spectra_preserves.dmp,
which contains preserved GQEs, like EXAFS regions,
monochromator parameters, etc.
User action 1: If no expert is available, the user may clear the preserve bit of the GQES and delete them:
ONLINEThis sequence helps, if for example the EXAFS regions contain invalid data.pres/clear

User action 2:
Symbols survive the commands that were given above. They can be cleared also
by leaving the ONLINE program, renaming the file
online_dir
spectra_preserves.dmp and restarting ONLINE:
The other file is ./online_crash.dmp (default directory). It is created, if ONLINE receives the signal 1, which causes an image exit. ./online_crash.dmp contains the entire queue. It is automatically loaded during the startup of the next ONLINE session. After it has been loaded, it is deleted. You may rename or delete ./online_crash.dmp , if you don't trust it.
