General Scans

The term general scan denotes a procedure which provides the users with a standard interface to a variety to scan types. The general scan menu is invoked by one of these commands:

Monochromator scans:

ONLINE> scan/en*ergy
ONLINE> scan/en*ergy/fixed_q
ONLINE> scan/ex*afs
ONLINE> scan/wa*velength

Diffractometer scans:

ONLINE> scan/_diff_mu
ONLINE> scan/_diff_omega
ONLINE> scan/_diff_chi
ONLINE> scan/_diff_phi
ONLINE> scan/_diff_psi
ONLINE> scan/_diff_gamma
ONLINE> scan/_diff_delta
ONLINE> scan/_diff_two_theta

Single motor scans:

ONLINE> scan[/mo*tor] motor_name
ONLINE> scan[/mo*tor]/reg*ions motor_name
ONLINE> scan[/mo*tor] dummy
ONLINE> scan[/mo*tor]/reg*ions dummy

Two motor scans:

ONLINE> scan/t2t=mot_2t motor_name
ONLINE> scan/tt_om
ONLINE> scan/om_tt
ONLINE> scan/om_e
ONLINE> scan/de_om
ONLINE> scan/cm=mot2/tac*tor=val mot1

Slit scans:

ONLINE> scan/slit=(slit_name, jaw)

Spectrometer scans:
