The Alignment

The alignment of the stepper motors is supported by several menus.

 ht
Motors are moved from a portable terminal (Handterminal). See the section 14.7.

 move/adjust motor_name
Move a motor forwards/backwards at different speeds while monitoring a signal. a signal. The user may change the limits, the slew rate, interrupt moves, etc. Everything is done with a minimum of keystrokes. It is recommended to use this menu for the raw adjustment.

 move/motor motor_name
A menu for the adjustment of the motor parameters. Movements are also supported.

 move/slit= slit_name
A menu that allows you to move the different jaws of a slit system. Furthermore it is possible to change the center and the opening of a slit.

 move/m1=$\cdots $/m2=$\cdots $
A menu that supports simultaneous movements of at most four motors.

 move/mc
The Monochromator alignment menu, an expert tool.

 scan/center/m1=mot1 ....
Finds the maximum intensity by iteratively optimizing the positions of four motors.

 scan/reflection
Finds the maximum intensity by iteratively optimizing the diffractometer positions.

 scan/motor motor_name
The general scan menu can also be used for the adjustment. It is described starting in section 8.1.
